A beautiful “World of Christmas” exhibition of 21 trees, decorated by members of 21 countries represented in St. Louis ethnic populations, can be viewed in the Rotunda of the Old Courthouse December 4 through 30.
The 28th Ward, and the SkinkerDeBaliviere neighborhood in particular, will have the opportunity to make its decision on the Democratic Aldermanic candidate between two well-known neighborhood residents.
Several events of October were not reported in the last column.
Central West End Savings and Loan Association, the first new state chartered savings and loan institution in Missouri in seventeen years, and in the St. Louis metropolitan area in twenty-five years, will be the anchor tenant in the historic Dorr and Zeller building on Waterman and DeBaliviere, the heart of that burgeoning redevelopment area.
As has been our practice in the past, we will not be publishing a January issue of The Paper in order to give our tireless staff a chance to enjoy the Christmas season.
