Rosedale-Skinker held it’s 6th Annual Halloween Party at St. Roch’s Gym. There were 250 highly imaginative costumed children in attendance. The costume winners were:

John Flynn — 6123 McPherson — 40’s

Sue Lottes — 6123 Kingsbury — Bo Peep

Alex Hitchcock — 6138 Kingsbury — Ghoul

Judy Malecek — 6101 McPherson — Bird

Laura Taft — 6186 Pershing — Dancer

Emily Shea — 6138 Kingsbury — Raggedy Ann

Ann Newsham — 6142 Kingsbury — Granny

Shanda Moore — 6051 McPherson — 3 heads

Tasha Bess — 6020 Washington — Buxam Lady

Barry Thomas — 6158 McPherson — Bride

The children were entertained by the local talent of the McPherson Avenue Players. The play, “The Last of the Dragons”, starred Sally Flynn, John Hart, Cal Stuart and Ed Stout, and was directed and produced by Bea Stout.

The committee consisted of Art Santen, Kitty Buckley, Rick Bender and Lucy and Boyd Morros. Our thanks to Steve Santen for designing and hand-printing the R-S name-tags and Peggy O’Brien for donating the balloons.

Adults following their wee “treaters” were offered coffee and doughnuts on the barriers.
