28th Ward Regular Democrats Endorse Candidates

June 1992

Because the field of candidates for state and city offices in the August 4th primary is so crowded, the 28th Ward Regular Democrats held two meetings in May to hear from candidates. Following each meeting, members of the ward voted by secret ballot to make the following endorsements:

  • U.S. Senate: Mert Bernstein
  • 1st District: Bill Clay
  • 3rd District: Richard Gephardt
  • Governor: Vincent C. Schoemehl, Jr.
  • Lt. Governor: Roger Wilson
  • Secretary of State: Howard Wagner
  • State Treasurer: Bob Holden
  • Attorney General: Mike Wolff
  • 57th District: O.L. Shelton
  • 61st District: Paula Carter
  • 64th District: Nancy Farmer
  • 65th District: Tony Ribaudo
  • 28th Ward Committeeman: Bruce Yampolsky
  • 28th Ward Committeewoman: Rosemarie Storey
  • Circuit Attorney: Dee Joyce Hayes
  • City Treasurer: Larry Williams
  • Sheriff: Jim Murphy
  • Public Administrator: Mark Ostenfeld

The Ward endorsements for governor and committeepeople were made a number of months earlier. If you need any information regarding the election or need help getting to the polls, call Bruce Yampolsky at 454-1863, or Rosemarie Storey at 727-1727.
