Dear Editors, I have just read the April issue of The Paper and want you to know how much I appreciate your warm note of thanks to Washington University for its work with the Skinker-DeBaliviere community.
Gould’s Directory of St. Louis, in those volumes known as the "Blue Books", listed "prominent citizens" of the St. Louis metropolitan area alphabetically and then listed street addresses and those who lived there.
In celebrating The Paper’s birthday, and thanking our workers, advertisers and distributors, a special thanks should certainly go to Washington University.

West End Townhouses, Inc., a limited dividend firm, founded by the late Phillip Lucier, to buy, renovate, rent and sell multiple family dwellings in the neighborhood, reports that it is completing readjustments caused by Mr. Lucier's sudden death in 1970.
Since last April, Roundhouse, a student operated, non-profit community resource center at Washington University, has offered a placement service for area students who want to volunteer in any of 200 community organizations ranging from the Red Cross to the juvenile court.
