Des Peres Avenue Pedestrian Bridge Closes for Rehabilitation(英文)

此内容暂无简体中文译文,以下为英文原文。

The Des Peres Avenue Pedestrian Bridge, which spans the MetroLink tracks on the south side of Forest Park Parkway, closed for rehabilitation in mid-April. Metro Transit is overseeing the project and expects the bridge to reopen in the fall.

Matthew Fernandes, a consumer engagement specialist (community programs) for Bi-State Development Agency / Metro, said that “due to normal wear and tear, the bridge needed rehabilitation.” Mr. Fernandes added that “the concrete walking surface is being rehabilitated and the existing steel fencing is being replaced with new fencing.”

The recommended alternative north-south route for pedestrians is Skinker Boulevard using Pershing Avenue to the north and Lindell Boulevard to the south.
