Remembering Mary Smith And Rosie Sparkman(英文)

此内容暂无简体中文译文,以下为英文原文。

Mary Smith at desk, caricature by husband Tim Smith.

Historical February–March 2011 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

We were very sorry to learn of the passing of several neighbors this winter. Mary Smith, of the 6100 block of Westminster, had lived in the neighborhood with her husband Tim for over thirty years. Mary was a dedicated and caring elementary teacher in the St. Louis Public Schools who had a passion for teaching children to read.

She had only recently retired. Artisthusband Tim Smith, who frequently does caricatures for special events like the Westminster block party, once did this charming sketch of Mary at her desk.

Also on the 6100 block of Westminster, one of the longest-residing neighbors, Rosie Sparkman, has passed away after a long illness. Evelyn Sparkman, her daughter, brought Mom and several family members to the Westminster Block Parties over the last few years to bring her back together with neighbors and friends.
