Name: BitterSweet Botanicals Address: 6178 Delmar Phone: 862-5784 Hours: Tuesday- Saturday, 9-5 BitterSweet Botanicals has recently moved into the newly renovated buildings on Delmar East of Skinker.
The owner is Sherl Fritz, who has been in the flower business 10 years and had this business for 3 years. BitterSweet offers a full floral service along with art work and some live plants.
There is no standard menu of products, as they believe in tailoring every order to each customer’s needs. Along those lines, Ms. Fritz encourages people to be creative with flowers as there are many options for decorating beyond standard table arrangements.
They gladly offer to assist in making arrangements and recommend, especially for holiday entertaining, placing flowers throughout the house. BitterSweet believes that one of the best ways to dress up the house and have fun doing so is to get old vases or wine bottles and decorate various locations in different rooms.
They point out that only flowers can provide the unique texture, color, and aroma they are so famous for.
In terms of being a business resident of the neighborhood, and particularly on 6100 Delmar right now, Ms. Fritz comments that the construction is a minor and temporary inconvenience and she looks forward to the future there.
