Autumn is here and many folks are beginning to anticipate the approaching holiday season.
If you’re looking for a fun and enjoyable way to start your Christmas preparations, come partake of the great shopping and taste treats at the Eighth Annual St. Roch Christmas Bazaar! Held right here in our great neighborhood, this event has grown over the years from a handful of booths to a full house of exhibitors from many different areas.
It is scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 9. from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Sunday. November 10, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the St. Roch Church Hall at Waterman and Rosedale Avenues.
A large variety of lovely, hand-crafted gifts and holiday decorations will be available, in addition to home-baked goods, raffles and continental breakfast and lunch.
The raffles this year are on three fabulous, one-of-a-kind items: a gorgeous, handknit Christmas sweater, a decorative. hand-embroidered Christmas tablecloth (approx. 60″ x 100″), and thirdly, a structure sure to please that special little boy in your life—a handcrafted Firehouse, complete with its own engine!
Also for kids at the Bazaar, is a unique “For Children Only” booth where they can purchase inexpensive ($3.00 and under) Christmas gift items with their hard-earned savings.
To complete the scene on Saturday, Mrs. Claus will be on hand to greet one and all!
All proceeds from the Bazaar support the activities of the Women of St. Roch, an organization of parish women dedicated to raising funds and providing resources for parish needs. So, neighbors, mark your calendars for November 9th and 10th!
This Bazaar is a real crowd pleaser, so come early, stay all day, join in the fun! Christmas is just around the corner, in more ways than one!
