The Parkview subdivision held its annual business meeting on May 21.

The agenda included the introduction of new residents, reports on neighborhood activities and the election of Agents. Parkview Agents run the business affairs of the neighborhood and enforce the subdivision’s indenture. Ted Fanson of 62xx McPherson, George Genung of 63xx Washington and Xenia Naert of 63xx Washington were elected to 3 year terms. Nancy deBettencourt of 62xx Washington, Jim Merlo of 63xx Westminster and Mary Wright of 62xx Waterman were elected to 1 year terms.

The remaining Agents are Sandy Rothschild, President; Bryan Gerard, Treasurer; Tom Knoten, Sec- retary; Mary Fleener, Building Plans Review Committee; Lynn Hayden, Security Committee Co-chairman; and Bob Horner, Trees and Parks Chairman.

A report by Sandy Rothschild described the highly successful results of Parkview’s recent renovation program. Scheduled work on curbs, streets and sidewalks has been completed two years ahead of schedule and $100,000 under budget.

In the last three years, all streets have been resurfaced including major repairs to the 62xx block of Pershing.

In addition, Parkview has planted 48 trees in the tree lawn and in its 3 parks, and has tuckpointed major sections of its wall along Skinker Boulevard.
