The Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council will be providing area school children with an identification safety program called operation IDENT-A-KID. IDENT-A-KID is a fingerprinting program for children and their parents that will be introduced to the area schools during the month of October. Fingerprinting is the best possible way to identify a person in case of an emergency. Children, with the permission of their parents, will be fingerprinted on special identification cards.

The cards will then be sent home for the family records.

The program will be expanded to cover the day-care facilities within the area. Cards and more information can be obtained from the SDCC office.
