Below is an income and expense statement of The Paper’s operations from September through February.
Income
- From advertising: $1,773.60.
- From contributions: $1,136.00.
- Total: $2,909.60.
Expense
- Printing: $1,279.83.
- Typesetting: $1,162.10.
- Misc.: $20.25.
- Subtotal: $2,462.18.
- June and July bills paid in October: $412.65.
- Total: $2,874.83.
NOTES: The great majority of contributions were received between September and November. This enabled The Paper to pay its past due debts and publish the Sept./Oct. issue.
Eight page issues cost about $500.00.
Twelve page issues cost about $800.00.
Advertising has been averaging $570.00 per issue.
