He graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta and received his Divinity Degree from Crozer Theological Seminary. He also attended Boston University and the Chicago Theological Seminary.

Dr. King became nationally famous in 1955 and 1956 when he lead a boycott of public buses in Montgomery, Alabama to protest racial segregation. The boycott was successful. In 1965 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that racial segregation on transportation within the state was unlawful.

Dr. King then traveled in all parts of America and abroad. In 1964 he became the youngest man to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

In 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, he was assassinated. He was shot in the neck by James Earl Ray.

Till this day we celebrate his birthday, January 15. He was a very faithful man.
