On Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1975, students of room 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207. and 209 were involved in a “Jazz Workshop.” Musicians rotated to the eight rooms and gave samples of their talents. They also gave information about their instruments. The musicians were David Hines on trumpet, Willie Aiken on saxophone, Kenny Gooch on drums, Ray Kennedy on piano, and Tom Kennedy on bass violin.

A mini-concert was held in the Hamilton School gymnasium at 1:30 p.m. In this jazz concert the five musicians played in harmony and as an organized group. The musicians played excellent that day. The musicians played forty minutes of jazz music. All the students were amazed with how these men played in front of them. The jazz group was applauded by the students and teachers that day.
