Rosedale-Skinker — New Year in November?(英文)

By Kathleen Harleman

此内容暂无简体中文译文,以下为英文原文。

New Year in November?’ That might be an appropriate theme for a meeting of the Rosedale Skinker Improvement Association slated for 7:30 p.m., November 20, 1973 at St. Roch’s Church basement (entrance from Rosedale).

This is the final meeting of the organization under its present name.

Members voted last May to change the name of the association to reflect more accurately the membership area.

A new name will be chosen at this meeting from suggestions received from members.

In a “New Year tradition of building on the past and changing for the future, a vote concerning the current by-laws will be taken.

Proposed bylaw changes were presented at the October meeting. If no amendments to these proposals are accepted at the November meeting, the vote to adopt the proposed by-law changes will take place.

The executive committee has made a unanimous New Year’s resolution — a more vital organization.

Bob Bracey will give details of a membership drive designed to carry out this resolution.

In conjunction with the membership drive, decals will be sold.

The design of the decal will be decided at this meeting from entries in the decal contest.

The contestant submitting the winning decal will receive a $10.00 prize.

No party hats or streamers, but plenty of “meaningful noisemaking” and a cash bar for this November New Year.
