Conservation Study in Room 209

December 1978

Room #209 Room #209 (Sixth Grade) at Hamilton School, is involved in a conservation study. This important area of study builds the people-environment relationship which is at the heart of our environmental/conservation aspect of education.

The class has developed a Conservation corner in the room, which features a table display of assorted rocks, tree bark, terrariums, leaves, backyard plants, beans, soil, grass, etc. A board display consisting of charts, pictures, and reports dealing with conservation has been constructed.

The students are entirely responsible for the displays. The contributors for this month are Valynsia Timms, Byron Mallard, Marilyn Foster, Yvette Lampkins, Melvin Thomas, Stacy Rice, Detrionna Moore, Lynita Adams, Timothy Grayer, Michael Monroe, Chancellor Wiley, Ronald Rush, and Robert Hopkins.

The month of December project will be Endangered Species of Missouri.
