The Delmar Loop is celebrating Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) this Saturday (4 to 10 p.m.) with Mexican music, dance, art and a host of family activities.
Highlights include Mariachi Los Reyes, Ballet Ollin dancers, stilt walkers, storytelling and a Kids Zone with crafts and face painting. Traditional ofrendas (altars) honoring departed loved ones will add meaning to the festivities.
Visitors can hunt for hidden calaveritas (tiny skulls) at participating businesses, collect sweet treats and enter a drawing for three $250 cash prizes through the Loop Passport app.
