Letters From Neighbors — Loitering And Leaves

November 2011

Historical November–December 2011 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

A neighbor asked if the TIMES would include a request that residents and their visitors not loiter in front of neighbor’s property.

Some blocks have had ongoing issues with youth loitering in front of other residents’ property, presumably because their parents/guardians do not want them hanging out in front of their own property.

Another letter reminds all homeowners to help in the effort to keep the streets clean. First: Move your cars on street-cleaning days. Second: Blow or rake your leaves, then pick them up and remove them from the street to the yard waste dumpsters.

This should be done whenever it will be more than a day or two before the street cleaners come. Leaving leaves to get soggy and then icy is dangerous and difficult for others to manage!
