Summer kicked off on the 6000 and 6100 blocks of McPherson with the second annual McPherson block party.
The event was held on Memorial Day weekend and again featured the music of Dick Hereford’s band.
The party was so much fun last year when it was done to celebrate the centennial, that neighbors decided to make it an annual event.
There was plenty of good food, music, volleyball, and kids activities.
