Historical February–March 2003 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

In only its second year, the 2002 Wintermarkt was a big success with over 30 vendors, a large happy crowd, and very cooperative weather. Crafts this year included a wide array of offerings, from hand-painted glassware, jewelry, and ceramics to photography and blown glass. Craftpersons came from nearby towns and our own neighborhood. Beautiful accapella singing was provided by the St. Roch 9 o’clock choir. Singing with choreography from the Washington University “Pikers” captivated the crowd.

There were many fine gifts to buy and treats to eat and drink. Thanks to all who participated, attended, and all the volunteers who helped make this event come together.

Also thanks to the West End Arts Council for organizing the 2002 Wintermarkt.
