SDCC’s Recreation Committee sponsored a softball team this summer made up of youngsters who live close to Hamilton School.

The team members included Rhannon Jones, Cortez Jones, Justin Payne, Phillip Cornell, Wayne Whitford, Chris Jackson, Willie Beckwith, Ryan Landers, Conrad Slaughter, Arturo Johnson, David Perkins, William Busch, Randel Falker, and Justin Falker.

The players named their team ‘The Hamilton Softball Team 1995″ because it is a central landmark for them. Their coaches were Eric McNeal. Bernard Jackson, and H. Falker. And they did a wonderful job!

The Hamilton Team came in first in their division. Recreation Committee Chairperson Arthelda Busch spoke glowingly of the players and their dedicated coaches.

She also thanked the SDCC and its president, Beth Bender, for support and equipment.

On October 17. a reception will be held for the team in conjunction with the monthly meeting of the Hamilton Elementary Community Education Center council.

There will be refreshments and awards for team members. Busch hoped that residents would attend and congratulate this winning team.
