Historical September 1993 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

It’s not too early to plan a colorful and even glorious spring. And even more exciting than planning next year’s garden is planting it at last year’s prices. Take advantage of these great prices during Operation BrightSide’s annual sale of bulbs which promise a vibrant welcome to spring of 1994. Traditional daffodil and tulip bulbs are available, as well as Blue Grape hyacinth bulbs to make St Louis gardens even brighter. Help spread the bright beginnings of springtime in St. Louis.

The BrightSide Daffodil is a large Dutch Master daffodil and is recommended for planting in spacious beds, as well as for naturalizing.

The tulip bulbs boast an array of colorful blooms and are particularly striking when planted in abundance.

The hyacinths add delicate blue hues to your garden landscape early in spring and are ideal with the yellow daffodils.

All orders must be prepaid and received by Bright Side no later than Friday, September 3, 1993. Only bulbs ordered in advance will be available for pick-up at the Forest Park Greenhouse. Pick-up is at the Greenhouse on the following dates: Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday October 20. 21, & 22 12:00 noon – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 23 9:00 am. – 1:00 p.m. Complete the coupon and return it with your check payable to “Operation BrightSide.” For further information, please call 781-4556. (If you are reading this after September 3, call to see if late orders may be placed.)
