The People’s Clinic is a miracle created every day by the people who donate their time to make it happen: the pharmacists, nurses, greeters, doctors, advocates, lab technicians. It is a gift to us in the community.
With the memberships and fees the Clinic keeps the doors open, the lights and heat (or air conditioning) on, pays Mary Falk, the bookkeeper, and buys medical supplies.
The decisions that direct the Clinic come from the Community Health Council (and a good deal of the carrying out).
Since December is the last month for this council (it’s election time again), I would like to acknowledge their service this year and I would like you to know who they are: Gordon Carlson, Gene Rodriguez (treasurer), Cathy Dean, Mary-Alice Krueger, Jim Breitmeyer (president), Sue Sante (vice-president), Jim Shayman, Mimi Newsham (secretary), Worth Hayes, Sandy Schildroth (resigned), Chris Wright (deceased), Marian Raben, Art Perry, Sharon Goodwin, Linda Piper (resigned), and John Davis.
