Stay-n-Play

October 1975

Original line drawing of a small child.

Grace Methodist Church’s STAYAND-PLAY babysitting service is now operating. Long considered a contribution to the mental health of neighborhood mothers, STAY-AND-PLAY provides loving care for a maximum of 15 children every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mary Alice Krueger and Marilyn Jones will babysit small children while you donate that free time to some community project. Fees are $1.00 for the 10:00 to 12:15 period and $1.00 for the 12:15 to 2:30 period, for each child (maximum charge $4.00 per family per Tuesday). Children who stay through both periods bring their lunches and diapers (if necessary); milk and juice are provided for lunches. The Grace Pre-School facilities are available for lunchtime and the afternoon session.

Any approved volunteer civic activity you want to do will qualify your child for STAY-AND-PLAY; work for your church – or your neighborhood organization, The Paper, the Clinic, Residential Service, City Zoo or Art Museum, work for political candidates, meetings of the League of Women Voters Discussion group, etc. Call Mary Alice Krueger, 726-1097, for reservations and information. Guaranteed reservations are available for those who wish to volunteer a particular amount of time each week. Call today!
