After a busy summer—day camp, baseball games, etc. —Cubs are again meeting on a regular basis, after school on Wednesdays at Grace Church. The September Pack meeting on the 23rd is the annual August Watermelon Feast. The Bob Gibson Day baseball game was the August Pack meeting. Five or our boys, in perfect uniform, joined other Girl & Boy Scouts to form a 251 on the field to note the number of games Bob has won for the Cardinals. The boys, Phillip McEneny, Brian Krippner, Nolan Sanders, Conan McPherron and John Brown found out for sure that the astroturf is hot!
New boys in the Pack this fall are Karl Schmidt, Joshua Kohn, David Waskow, Sean Thomas and Matthew Storey.
The Scout Skill Show will be November 22 so early in October Cubs and Boy Scouts will be selling Tickets at $1. You will receive a ticket for you $1 that admits one adult or two children. Not only support the Scouting program by buying tickets, do attend and see what Scouting is all about. You’ll be impressed.
