The Skinker DeBaliviere Business Association has announced its program plans for remaining meetings in 1987.
On October 15, SDBA is sponsoring a half day seminar, “Financial Planning for the Business Owner” 8:00 a.m. at Gatesworth Manor, 245 N. Union.
A $5 registration fee covers the cost of breakfast for participants; the Association is underwriting the cost of the program. Topics for the seminar include: The Team Approach to Financial Planning; Business Planning-Management (business form, buy/sell agreements); Income Tax Planning; and Employee-Executive Benefits.
A luncheon meeting with Gary Mestman and Jerry Reznik has been scheduled October 29, noon, at the Marlborough Building, Kingsbury at DeBaliviere.
The MestmanReznik Company is developing the new DeBaliviere Retail Center.
The November meeting will be held on the 19th and will feature a speaker from Citizens for Modern Transit.
The program includes a slide show and update on plans for the proposed light rail transit system.
The second annual holiday meeting is planned for December, tentatively on the 17th. SDBA will invite elected officials and community leaders to meet informally with association members and guests.
The Business Association meets monthly on the third Thursday, usually at lunch.
At least bi-monthly the Association invites a guest speaker to address an issue or topic of interest to the area’s business community.
All meetings are free and open to the public.
The SDBA is funded solely through membership dues. Members of the Association have voting privileges and may serve on the board of directors.
