Category: Public Housing

An apartment residence for low income senior citizens is being proposed by a group of local businessmen for lots on the southwest corner of DeBaliviere and DeGiverville, between DeGiverville and the railroad right-of-way.
A public hearing on board Bill 307, which would approve the redevelopment plan for the triangle area was held at the Board of Alderman hearing room on February 15th.
The first feedback on the redevelopment plan for the "triangle area" indicated to the Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council Board that the issue of subsidized housing was going to be criticized both by those who think the projected percentage of such housing too high, and also by opposing groups who think the percentage too low.
