Agreements have been signed and the architectural firm of Anselvicius and Rupe is working on drawings of typical structures for the Kingsbury Redevelopment Corporation’s planned new buildings in the triangle area (DeGiverville to Delmar and DeBaliviere.)
At the same time, Team 4 is working out details of the site plan so that costs can be estimated for the project before submitting to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for approval.
These are the final steps before submission.
HUD approval is necessary, whether or not government funds are used in construction.
Pantheon Corporation has previously been announced as the builders by Kingsbury Redevelopment Corporation.
KRC is a subsidiary group controlled by the Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council, Inc., and includes Council members, representatives of the construction firm, an attorney, local businessmen.
The future of the redevelopment plan will depend on the ability of KRC to obtain financing.
The plan has already been approved by the Board of Aldermen and the Beautification Committee.
