Neighbor and attorneynovelist Marvin Nodiff (61XX Westminster) rips the curtain away in his new novel, The Condo Kerfuffle, to peek at community living as it confronts mounting threats from guns, drones, cyber-crime and more. Nodiff concocts an entertaining kerfuffle, mixing wit and real-life experience to take the reader on a quirky ride through the perplexing disputes, bizarre twists, and colorful characters that mark the landscape of condos and homeowner associations.
In his law practice, Nodiff has represented community associations in Missouri for more than 30 years and is recognized nationally with the 2015 Distinguished Service Award by the Community Associations Institute. One in every five Americans lives in a community association, our most intimate experiment in self-governance. Kerfuffle is a “must-read for anyone involved in condos and HOAs,” says The New England Condominium. Kerfuffle is Nodiff’s fourth novel tying the law and issues in these communities, following Special Assessment, No Spitting on the Floor, and The Dark Condos.
While Nodiff uses themes that resonate with associations and homeowners across the country, his writing stays close to home.
All his works are set in St. Louis and depict venues and landmarks familiar to our residents. Copies of the paperback Kerfuffle ($14.95 plus tax) are available at Left Bank Books, 399 N. Euclid, St. Louis, or online at WWW.LEFT-BANK.COM. Amazon offers an ebook version for Kindle readers.
