SDCC held the Better Block Kick-Off Public Meeting on February 22, 2014.
The attendees chose Des Peres Avenue as the location for the Better Block Project and the event date was set for September 13, 2014. (Mark your calendar!) The Better Block Planning Team will meet again on Saturday, April 5 at 10am at the SDCC Office.
On September 13, the Better Block Team will work with other neighbors and volunteers to transform a section of Des Peres Avenue with temporary cafes, shops, bike lanes, landscaping, food, live music and more. It’s going to be a lively, large-scale street festival that changes the way neighbors experience the street and its connection to Delmar.
The entire neighborhood is invited to come out, have fun, and provide feedback on what you’d like to see on Des Peres on a more permanent basis. More information is posted on SDCC’s website, www.skinkerdebaliviere.com.
