WATER – The elixir of life As the weather changes, so do our homes – with Spring in the air, there is also rain.
We need it, gotta have it, but only where is belongs – in our sinks and tubs, and on our plants.
On the day it rains, do yourself and your home a huge favor – take a walk around your home and inspect your gutters. Is it pouring over the edge?
This is a No-No. You have a clog; undo it. Have them checked and cleaned – yearly – sometimes 2 times a year if your home is surrounded by our stately trees.
The number 1 rule that needs to not be taken lightly is – Water should be flowing smoothly down our drains, whether it is by way of our downspouts or in our sinks and tubs. Any time water pools or drips, it will cause damage. Sometimes it is not detected for some time and this will cause all kinds of nasty things to happen to our homes. Mold will grow, wood will rot, and paint will peel – By addressing these issues early, we can save money and our homes from the perils of water in places it does not belong.
