The warm weather brought out a lot of neighbors for this year’s Blitz Day.
On the 6100 block of Westminster/Washington alley about two dozen neighbors were out at one time cleaning up and working together. Their alley looks great. 5700 DeGiverville residents Jim and Jan Hatch with their visiting family and neighbors cleared a big stretch of alley near their house and addressed the plantings at their cul-de-sac. 5900 DeGiverville had a big undertaking; neighbors Jamie Kenyon, Erich Trudo, and others cleared trash, branches, and heavily overgrown vines along the Light Rail side of the alley.
On 6000 Westminster at Des Peres neighbors Michael Hollohan and Faith Sandler, and Susan Allen pruned trees, cleared brush and weeds, and leveled the knarly overgrown junipers which had become safety hazards and trash collectors. Great job by all.
We appreciate all neighbors coming out to make the common areas of our neighborhood more beautiful.
