Times Goes Into Cyberspace

April 2007

Historical April–May 2007 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

Starting with this issue, at the beginning of our 37th year of publication, THE TIMES OF SKINKER-DEBALIVIERE will be available online, as well as in print. You will continue to receive your free copy of the TIMES at your door and at your favorite neighborhood business, but you can also look at it on the newly redesigned Skinker-DeBaliviere website.

An important feature of the new site is our TIMES archives. Volunteers from the neighborhood, who write, photograph , distribute and create for this publication are also working on scanning and saving all the previous issues of the TIMES and its predecessor, THE PAPER, so that we will have a complete historical archive. We’re starting this month with all the published TIMES from the years 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003. Soon, we’ll add the updated neighborhood history, which was published for the ‘millennium’ in 2000-2001-2002. Look for a greatly expanded archive in the near future.

If you can help with locating missing issues and scanning them, contact me at 726-6974 or by email at jvatcha@peoplepc.com.
