I am certainly one of many neighbors who remembers Bill Kohn fondly.
He was a premiere artist in our midst and part of the enclave that gives our neighborhood such a special feel.
He has been gone two years now but has left a strong personal and professional legacy.
The Bruno David Gallery at 3721 Washington will be exhibiting some of Kohn’s work from November 17 to December 18.
The opening, Grand Eloquence, on November 17 will be a multimedia experience, using theatrical lighting and projections of photographs, digitally modified images and video, produced and developed by photographer Dale Dufer. Those who remember Kohn’s studies of the Grand Canyon, Paris bridges, Macchu Piccu, or India will certainly enjoy this retrospective.
A work of Kohn’s is also to be found amidst the exhibition of local artwork now at the Regional Arts Commission, which includes oeuvre of Andy Cross and Bill Christman.
