The lovely property located on the southwest corner of Waterman and Rosedale will be turned into 6 one and two bedroom condominiums in the near future.
The building had been used as a convent from 1929 until last year. Plans were proposed to use the facility as a halfway house for women leaving prison. Zoning regulations based on the site’s proximity to a school made that infeasible. Ned Amos, a master plumber, who has begun rehabilitation of existing structures in the past few years, acquired the property for condos.
He plans a 6 car parking garage. Cultural Resources will have to approve the garage design, which will also be reviewed by the SDCC Historic Review Committee.
