New Concert Series A Success

Historical Fall 2003 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

The final concert of the 2003 concert series was held Sunday, September 7th at Greg Freeman Park at Four Corners.

This was the fourth in a series of neighborhood concerts sponsored jointly by the West End Arts Council and Skinker DeBaliviere Community Council.

The ‘Neighborhood Notes’ concert series was made possible by a generous grant from the Regional Arts Commission and the support of neighborhood residents and friends. Featuring local talent primarily drawn from area residents, the concert series kicked off with a special performance by Jon Thomas and Friends at National Night Out. Despite recordbreaking high temperatures, the Jef Lash Trio presented cooling sounds on Sunday, August 17th.

A large crowd gathered with cooler temperatures to hear the creative sounds of Languid on August 24th.

The West End Arts Council organized this great addition to the neighborhood’s summer scene.
