Renee Flanders, of Opus Interiors, designed the dining room of the Symphony Showhouse & Gardens for 2002. Renee, who lives with husband Bill and daughter Emily on the 6100 block of Westminster, called on several neighbors to help with getting the display room ready: • Walter Bauer, who loaned two sculptures and moved them! • Elizabeth Bly, an employee of “Centro”, who assisted with furniture and chandelier. • Bill Christman. who helped to construct an armature and helped Walter Bauer move his sculptures into the room. • Andy Cross, who constructed and painted three large boulders from polyfoam. • Walter and Norm Klein. who loaned the slag centerpiece. • Sam Green, who loaned flexible scaffolding for glazing application. • Steve Littlefield, who designed and fabricated a fireplace screen support for the rocks later applied. Renee noted that she was so thankful for all the wonderful help she received from friends and neighbors in carrying out her design ideas for # 1 Washington Terrace.
The Symphony Showcase was a big success.
