Change is never an exclusively positive activity. Stalin once said that you have to break eggs to make omelets and there is some truth in that aphorism.
In my 15 years in St. Louis, Delmar Cleaners has been in the 61xx block of Delmar. I’ve utilized it over the years, knew some of the people who worked there, and always appreciated them for their support of this newspaper. Delmar Cleaners departed in September. Its owners and staff are affiliating with a cleaners on Laclede Station Rd. by Watson. Luckily. no one is without work.
They will be missed. Hopefully, the newly reconstituted Delmar will have some stores that cater to the residents nearby and their special needs.
