The West End Arts Council, with assistance from the Regional Arts Commission, has unveiled plans for the first-ever Wintermarkt.
A local reimagination of a traditional German festival, the Kristkindismarkt, Wintermark will be held Saturday, December 8th, outdoors, at Four Corners Park, from noon until 6:00 p.m.
This outdoor craft sale will feature the handiwork of artisans, bakers and craftsmen from our own urban village. Continuing a centuries-old outdoor market tradition, participants will find treats to enjoy at the market and items to take home for consumption and for gifting in the true spirit of the holiday season. Individual stalls will feature handcrafted toys, treats, decorations and gifts for your home, family and friends.
All are invited to stop by and partake in homemade desserts, cookies, pastries, tarts, hot cider, gluhwein and other treats while listening to musical selections by neighborhood carolers. Participants will find chimeneas and twinkling white lights along with many surprises to set you in a holiday mood. Proceeds from the sale will benefit participating local artists and the West End Arts Council. Questions?
