As the yellow school bus pulled up to the S-F Scout Ranch, I knew I was in for a week of fun.
As I stepped off, I was thinking of the great times that were In store for me.
The first thing we did was to set up camp.
The lofty tents rose one by one as each scout helped each other.
We then went and had a delicious dinner prepared by the delightful camp staff.
After that, we watched the hilarious camp staff put on funny skits.
We woke the next morning preparing a delicious meal over an open flame.
Then we went to our great merit badge courses.
We had a great lunch and then did some merit badge courses and.then we had some dinner. Tuesday was the same ol’ same ol’.
But on Wednesday, there was the water carnival.
We did a lot of great stuff for us to do; such as the match relay where we had to keep a book full of matches above water and then light a match after finished racing.
When Thursday rolled around, it was time to get serious, it was the Order of the Arrow ceremony. Scouts voted other scouts into a very select group. That night, our parents came and got to see a fantastic ceremony. That Friday we had closing ceremonies.
The next day we left with great memories.
This is one of many exciting events that you can do if you join the Boy Scouts of America.
