Council Communications — Website And Email Updates

June 2000

Historical June–August 2000 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

Dear Neighbors, The council is working to improve communication in and about our neighborhood. Information about Council activities and current neighborhood issues needs to be more accessible sooner.

The Council’s Technology Committee chaired by resident Katrina Steirholz, will soon start working on a re-design of the Council’s web site, which has not been updated for a while. Planning what information should be on it, and securing the commitment of a group of volunteers to design, build and maintain it is about to start.

If any of you have experience designing or building Web sites and would be willing to do some work on this, please call the Council Office at 862- 5122 and leave your name, number & email address for Katrina.

The Web site currently is at http://stlouis.missouri.org/ skinkerdebaliviere/ . Meanwhile, I have been sending out email updates to interested residents about two times a month.

They include the most recent approved Council minutes, an update which I write, the agenda for the upcoming Council meeting, and other timely information about the Council and the neighborhood.

The privacy of the recipients and their e-mail addresses is preserved by sending it out via blind copy.

If you would like to receive e-mail updates, please e-mail me at 71141.3564@compuserve.com.

I look forward to hearing from you and adding you to the recipients list. Daniel Schesch President, Skinker-DeBaliviere Community Council
