On a lovely warm June day, Skinker DeBaliviere residents assembled as developer Gary Bierman of Town and Country Homes and Alderman Lyda Krewson broke ground for the first phase of townhomes at Kingsbury and Hamilton. Comptroller Darlene Green joined the festivities and she and the alderman noted that this will be the final phase of the Nina Place redevelopment that has been long awaited. Nina Place residents Earl Bonner, Susan Talley, and Lana Stein were present as well as close-by neighbors Gwen Lazard and Ronie Halliburton. Since that time, the first four units are nearing completion and have all been sold.
There is already a reservation for a unit in the second phase.
