Concert of ragtime and Dixieland jazz, induction of William Clark (explorer), Dwight Davis (tennis), Dave Garroway (broadcasting), Virginia Mayo (acting), Marianne Moore (literature), Clark Terry (music/jazz). Keynote address will be given by Clarence Harmon, former Chief of Police of the City of St. Louis. Everyone is welcome. May 28 “Ragtime Music on the Pike,” a Twilight Tuesday program at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park in preparation for their World’s Fair Exhibit, 7pm.
The St. Louis Ragtimers with Trebor Tichenor will play the music of Scott Joplin and other composers that was featured at the 1904 Fair. June 19 “Oliver Twist” to be performed by Dave Simpich, of the Simpich Marionettes. Recommended for adults and older children at The Saint Louis Art Museum, 8pm.
