Hamilton Elementary Community Education Center and the St. Louis Partners Americorps Program are working with Operation BrightSide to clean up the Hamilton schoolyard. Students who are serving in school detention are allowed the opportunity to brighten their school environment and at the same time develop a sense of community responsibility by putting something back into their school.
This is also an opportunity for students to discuss conflict resolution skills and ways of preventing future detentions. Things are already brightening up at Hamilton. Hamilton and the Americorps Program would like to thank Kingsbury Square Hardware for their generous support of Operation BrightSide.
This business generously donated gloves and glove liners for the students to use.
