Shirley Stanford opened a youth center called Jasmine’s on Delmar at DesPeres (site of the old BiRite) last spring.
Following a dispute with her landlord who apparently failed to make repairs required by her lease and a judgment in her favor, there was a fire at the building causing considerable interior damage.
The fire was ruled to be arson.
There are no plans known at this writing for the building or the center.
