Because of anticipated budgetary shortfalls, the Skinker DeBaliviere Community Council established the Friends of Skinker DeBaliviere.
It provided a vehicle for residents to contribute to support the Community Council and has been very successful.
In order to kick off its second year, Friends of Skinker DeBaliviere will hold a gathering at the home of SDCC President Beth Bender, 6037 Westminster Pl.
This event will take place on June 16, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The rain date is the 17th.
There will be food and drink and everyone is invited– Friends, soon-to-be Friends, all neighborhood residents.
For more information, call Beth at 863-3854 or the SDCC at 862- 5122.
