Kingsbury Kiosk Land Now Part Of City Park

February 1994

Historical February 1994 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

In May of 1992, the Kingsbury Kiosk library branch closed.

In its stead, there is now a branch on Skinker between McPherson and Waterman.

The kiosk was demolished shortly after closure. Although the land was listed for sale for some time, the Saint Louis Public Library decided to transfer the land to the city Parks Department.

It thus becomes part of our Four Corners Park and will be maintained by the Parks Department.

The Library’s Director felt that such a transfer was in keeping with the neighborhood’s wishes.
