Historical December 1993 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

St. Roch pre-schoolers want you to meet a very special friend.

She is “Grandma Naomi.” Grandma Naomi can be found every Friday morning of the school year at St. Roch PreSchool, 6040 Waterman.

She is one of several helpers who volunteer her time and talents to our children. Grandma Naomi is Mrs. Naomi Roach. Shc is mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother. Mrs. Roach is a member of St. Roch’s Parish and has lived in the SkinkerDeBaliviere area for many years.

The children look forward to Friday mornings because Grandma Naomi brings a special loving touch to the pre-School program.

She reads to them and helps them with their projects.

When not reading to the children, Grandma Naomi can be found helping the children with puzzles, building with legos, observing the children in the housekeeping area or painting with the little ones. ‘ Naomi enjoys sharing her talents and love with the children and they, in turn, share their love with her. Thank you Grandma Naomi, from all of us at St: Roch. Blueberry Hill
