In the May issue of this paper the Skinker DeBaliviere Community Council Social Services Committee asked all resident to become neighbors by taking some time to refer trustworthy contractors and to volunteer to assist neighbors at risk of being ripped off. Unfortunately, only one person responded volunteering assistance and no one sent in any referrals. Has the community responded that we are happy in isolation as residents? Or, are the neighbors within our community just behind on their list of things to do? Neighbors make a neighborhood, and it is a responsibility that must be chosen and followed. Help the Social Services Committee continue to make Skinker DeBaliviere the best “neighborhood” in the city by responding with the attached forms.
If you have any questions, consult the May issue of The Times of Skinker-DeBaliviere or call Kim Koenig at the SDCC office. 862-5122 or Beth Bender, 863-3854.
