First Annual Rosedale Food Drive

Summer 1993

Historical Summer 1993 article. Dates, prices, services and contacts describe the source period; current availability has not been established.

While many of us light our grills this summer and partake in the joys of summer food there are, as we all know, many others in need.

This time of year food pantries are barely keeping up with demand, and this includes our local pantries run by St. Roth’s, Grace Methodist, and The New Cote Brilliante Baptist churches. That is why the R.N.A. has decided to be a positive force in the community by conducting a one day food collection.

On Saturday, July 17, beginning at 9 a.m., volunteers will collect non-perishable foods and personal hygiene items from the porches of Rosedale. neighbors. (This includes the 6000 and 6100 blocks of Pershing, Waterman, McPherson, Kingsbury, Westminster, and Washington.) We tvill send out reminders the week of the collection but ask you to mark your calendars and add to your shopping lists.

If you would like to volunteer in the collection of goods, use of large vehicles, or to hand out the reminder flyers, please call Beth Bender at 863-3854.

Please choose to make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you in advance.
