Continuing a wellestablished and well-liked annual fall tradition, the Rosedale Neighborhood Association is again sponsoring Rags to Riches. Rags to Riches IS a neighborhood-wide yard sale designed to allow residents to rid their homes of unnecessary but still usable items Using the logic that more is better than one, Rosedale has found that multiple sales attract many more interested customers.
It is also an excellent opportunity to Introduce many people to the Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhood. Rags to Riches is set for Saturday, September 19, from 8:30 am. to 3:30 p.m. Everyone who wants to have a sale should fill out a registration form and pay the $15 fee. Forms are in process of being delivered doorto-door and they should be returned to the SDCC office, 6010 Kingsbury.
In addition, the Rosedale Neighborhood Association will again sponsor a bake sale and also sell beverages and BBQ on the 19th. Guidebooks showing the location of all sales will be handed out at the bake sale site, the Kingsbury Animal Hospital parking lot at 420 N. Skinker. Many popular bake sale items will be returning including the famous Roncal urban guerilla cookies. Even if you are not having a sale or are not that fond of yard sales, the neighborhood association hopes that you will join its volunteers for coffee and donuts, or a brat for lunch. Rosedale sponsors Rags to Riches in order to raise funds for the Times of Skinker DeBaliviere. Therefore, when you register for an authorized yard sale or when you buy some refreshments, you are helping the Times continue to publish.
